In 2014 after returning from his second round of studies he led the Rose Hill Baptist Church until 2019. After his wife became sick, he sensed God leading him to a more public theological ministry and consequently became a Religious Columnist/Contributor in the local newspapers and took on an Associate Pastorship at the Grand Bacolet Baptist Church. In that way, he is able to divide his time more fully to his wife's care, public theology and the church.
Vonnie is an avid theologian who has written for the Caribbean Christian Publications (CCP), Eclessio.com-a website that hosts conversations with scholars, pastors, activists, and leaders of the church across the world, submitted articles to Academia.edu and Researchgate.Net and also is a weekly contributor to the religious section of Grenadian Voice Newspaper and monthly to the Grenada Informer Newspaper.
While Vonnie holds professional qualifications in journalism, leadership, ministerial studies, preaching, theological studies, and theology his areas of focus are in 'Spirituality Intersection with Real Life' and Theology.
Vonnie has several boards and committees' experiences both in the academic and professional arenas. He sat on UWI’s Mona Education Committee, Orientation Planning Committee' UTCWI Board of Governors; Education Committee; Founder’s Week Planning Committee and the Restorative Justice Planning Committee.
